Choose your booking platform or PMS at the start of the import wizard. Airbnb and Booking.com have source detection. Guesty, Hostaway, SiteMinder / Little Hotelier, Cloudbeds and eviivo have guided CSV/Excel paths using the same editable column mapper. Report layouts vary; these paths are not live account integrations or guarantees that every export will import unchanged.
Prepare one row per reservation
Include check-in, check-out and accommodation-only charges. Add currency, booking date, first guest payment date and separately itemised fees where available. Keep the accommodation charge before platform commission. A platform payout date is not evidence of the guest's first payment date.
Map a dedicated visitor levy column for comparison. Do not map an aggregate tax total to VAT or assume every occupancy tax is this council's levy. If Airbnb provides tax in a separate reservation-level report, attach it after loading the booking file.
Confirm the mapping and review the preview
Check dates, amount basis and cleaning-fee classification before importing. Guest names and contact details have no canonical target and are not sent in the calculation payload. The raw spreadsheet stays in your browser in the main import flow.
The preview identifies rows that cannot be read and compares supplied collection amounts against the calculation engine. Investigate unexplained differences before saving bookings and preparing a return. Missing tax amounts remain unknown.
Open the import wizard or read the Airbnb reconciliation guide.
